New at the Habitat ReStore: Wood Furniture
The Habitat ReStore now sells and accepts wood furniture donations of tables, chairs, headboards, dressers, end tables, rocking chairs and coffee tables. All wood furniture and in good condition only. Upholstered furniture will not be sold or accepted.
The Habitat ReStore is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and open until 6 p.m. on Thursday. The used and new building material store has diverted more than 10,000 tons of usable building materials form the Dane County Landfill since the store opened 10 years ago. The store sells building materials at reduced prices to the general public. The mission of the Habitat ReStore is to keep reusable materials out of the landfill and to help Habitat for Humanity of Dane County build more homes with low income families. Sales from the Habitat ReStore build about two homes a year in Dane County.
